Re: 1st Test Match Previews
The heat will take the edge off their pacemen through the afternoon. Need to keep our wickets intact up front for a while if we get the chance to bat first. I think Mire and Hami together could be a good balanced pair. If Mire can hit a few boundaries, Hami may be able to pace his innings with less worry.

Re: 1st Test Match Previews
Assuming that this would be the match thread for the first test, best wishes to Zimbabwe! Hope we do well here.
Yesterday's interview of Cremer with Dean du Plessis pretty much indirectly confirmed that Regis would be the first choice keeper. Cremer brought his name up even when Dean was only asking about Mayavo (and Cremer did say quite a few good things about Mayavo's keeping abilities while admitting that he might not be fully ready yet, and stressed the amount of work Regis had done after the SL series to improve his keeping in particular).
Cremer was also non-committal on Chisoro's involvement, but his handling of that question compared to the Mayavo-Regis one makes me feel that it would not be a surprise to see Chisoro in the XI. May not be the best move.
Mire wasn't discussed, but I feel it is just a formality, he will get his cap today I guess. Best wishes to him.
