Yes I thought the fact you had Price and had Panyangara would work against me in the round off because Pricey is so well loved.

For me the side really picked itself apart from the spinner role which came down to Price and Cremer, but I took into consideration Cremer’s 100 also and the fact he is the leading wicket taker since re-admission to make my decision.

I also thought that maybe having Hami opening would hurt me but I’ve always been a strong believer he’s an opener so I stuck with it.

Humbling to see most of my pears here agree with me :)
In retrospect I should have picked Shingi. I also thought I'd beat you since I had Price. In the end, only having 2 seamers did my side in. I figured since Zim mostly play on slow tracks, 2 spinners would be the more realistic squad.

Fair play though, you beat me by a landslide!

I'll put both Cremer and Williams in my side"

Great you're in the final. Even better if you make Hami open!

Congrats first to the joint winners and then to the sole run-off victor :)

Could we have a breakdown of who posted which team? From what I could gather elsewhere it seems I voted for Eugene's side 8-)

I voted for Team E. I liked the aggressive tactic of batting Cremer at 7 in order to fit both Price and Vitori into the bowling attack. And opening with Sikandar Raza to get Hami into his preferred #3 position.

Overall this was quite a fun topic! It'd be nice to come up with another competition for the people who didn't get to play in this one... if anyone has any ideas do let me know :)

Team E had a winner's mentality. backed people to do their job. that was my first pick

Yeah, that was the idea. At least I learnt that "go-for-the-kill" Anti-Streak 6-5 lineup was not favored here much... Alll the 5 bowlers I picked had test 5 fors, and picking 20 wickets was the priority (and now we also have Raza join that club. That team had 6 bowlers with test 5 fors :D)

Oh and yes, Congrats Jaybro! :)
