The more games we play the more I realize against a quality pace attack Ervine is not the ideal number 3. Hami is

I think this test is very important for Streak and Taibu in terms of people having confidence in them. A lot of these picks are big judgement calls..lets see what happens.
Moor vs Chibhabha - I don't think that's a howler. Moor's batting record has been good, but obviously Chibhabha can offer something with the ball. If Moor makes some 30s and 40s then nobody will question it. Williams is a unique player in that he offers batting and reasonable quality spin, difficult to replace.

Chisoro vs Chinouya - neither are great options if we're being honest.

No Chatara - yes, this is the ultimate howler. It would be wonderful to know what the hell is going on with this. If Jarvis is injured and Chatara is fit, why isn't it a straight swap?
Yes I guess Chatara might be the ultimate howler

I do think Hami would thrive at 3, but he will probably stay opening due to a almost complete lack of credible alternatives.

Very true. They just put up his stats and he averages 16 opening. 36 at 3.

BT gone...wow... absolute disaster.

My opinion:

Moor vs Chibabha...always Moor. Moor has batting upside and Chamu's bowling won't threaten at this level.
Chisoro vs Chinouya - on a turning track Chisoro, but really it should have been Wellington.

Chatara should have played the 1st Test ahead of Mpofu who can't buy a wicket.

Its time for a big one from Hammy, not sure I'd put PJ at 5 but fair enough.
Not looking good boys but can't be sure til we bowl (hopefully not today)
