Zimbabwe A Tour Of UAE for 5 unofficial odis

Post by Black Mamba » Tue Nov 07, 2017 6:07 am

Zimbabwe A Squad :

Chamu Chibhabha ( c), Ryan Burl, Brian Chari, Tendai Chisoro, Innocent Kaia, Kevin Kasuza, Neville Madziva, Timycen Maruma, Wellington Masakadza, William Mashinge, Prince Masvaure, Brandon Mavuta, Peter Moor ( WK), Tarisai Musakanda, Richard Ngarava

Fixtures

9th November - Zimbabwe A V/s UAE, Dubai
11th November - Zimbabwe A V/s UAE, Dubai
13th November - Zimbabwe A V/s UAE, Dubai
16th November - Zimbabwe A V/s UAE, Dubai
18th November - Zimbabwe A V/s UAE, Dubai

No chance for Nathan Waller, James Bruce despite giving some good performance. Still failures like Chari & Madziva getting picked in A team

It's great to get some game time, but I get a sense that the local competitions are being interrupted willy-nilly...a whole lot of random guys are getting called up from nowhere to plug the gaps left by the departure of these team members. Anyway, scheduling has never been ZC's forte...at least matches are being played.
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

This squad is reasonably strong, will be interesting to see how this series goes.

That's a decent squad there . I don't understand why people are calling for Bruce's inclusion ? When I previously asked if anyone had seen or knew much about him no one could answer me. Anyone I think this squad is very fair except mutizwa , he's very unlucky indeed. Maybe nathan Waller could have been given another run , but hey he didn't really impress previously did he .

People are getting excited about Bruce because he’s a very tall left arm pace bowler who can bat, probably the same people who were getting excited about Ngarava despite his poor showings.

He didn’t bowl much in the current match but I’d say from looking at who’s taking the wickets it’s a slow turner so not ideal for a pace man.
