Tom Curran Call up to England Ashes Squad

Post by jontym87 »

Tom Curran the son of the late Zim National Team Coach Kevin Curran has been called to the England Ashes quad to replace the injured Steven Finn. Finn had been recalled to the squad after Ben Stokes had been dropped following the Bristol Scandal which is still under police investigation.

The news is a cruel setback for Finn whose career has been a rollercoaster of unfortunate events. In 2013-14 he was sent home after being deemed "unselectable" in a series which had offered an opportunity for redemption. Midway through the 2010-11 Ashes series he was dropped

Good on him hope he gets a game

Maybe we might see Tom Curran bowl to Hilton Cartwright at some point in the series

Wouldn’t it be bitter sweet to see Ballance, Curran & Cartwright all play in the same match in an Ashes series

Wouldn't it be better to stop discussing these players in the main forum and relegate them to the other forum?

Imagine if South Africans did the same thing about Strauss, Dernbach, Lumb, Trott, KP, Malan, Jennings etc.

For crying iu loud have some pride! Go his long had this been going on?

I can't imagine Pakistanis discussing Tahir and Khawaja all the time and at every opportunity.

God forbid people discussing zimbabwe born players in a zimbabwean cricket forum

It hardly matters what South Africans and Pakistanis do. This is ZCF. Also, it is not like we are discussing them "at every opportunity" as such.

We WILL discuss the Currans, the Ballances and the de Grandhommes. We'll even discuss Watambwa when he turns out for Belgium, and if someone like a Bhasikoro turns out for Hungary, we'll discuss that too. Deal with it.

Balanced article for once, far cry from his sickening 1000 word odes he regularly spouts on Saturday.

Used to worship his articles as a school boy till I realised I could do better.

Massive chance of getting a cap now , ball went down yesterday with a ankle injury. The poor lad will get his confident shot if he plays. Warner uzzy and smith at home are absolutely brutal .
