Just read that the old flop and his ho have been formally ousted and advised to leave Zimbabwe.

With news that he is a ‘billionaire’ while his country starve, id advise he take the cash and live it up in botswana, Namibia or Singapore whole he can. He leaves on a good wicket if he plays ball

Looks like it's happening. Mugabe to address the nation imminently to announce his resignation.

Mugabe's nephew, Patrick Zhuwao, told Reuters Mugabe and his wife were “ready to die for what is correct” rather than step down in order to legitimise what he described as a coup.

ZANU (i.e. Defence forces and allies) can do whatever they want and appoint whomever they want as head of the party, but it's impossible for them to remove Mugabe as President! Whatever they try won't result in Mnangagwa being national President. Here's why?
RESIGNATION

The constitution says that in the event of a presidential resignation, he will be replaced by the vice president.

But the military's preferred candidate to succeed Mugabe, Emmerson Mnangagwa, was removed as vice president last week.

There is however a second vice president - Phelekeza Mphoko - who was loyal to First Lady Grace Mugabe and would be elevated to president - something the army would want to avoid.

The army would first have to persuade Mugabe to reappoint Mnangagwa.
IMPEACHMENT

The National Assembly and the Senate can start proceedings to remove the president if both pass simple majority votes against the head of state in cases of "serious misconduct", "failure to obey, uphold or defend (the) constitution", "violation" of the constitution or "incapacity".

Once the votes are passed, the two chambers must then appoint a joint committee to investigate removing the president. If the commission recommends impeachment, the president can be removed from office once both houses back it with two-thirds majorities, according to section 97 of Zimbabwe's constitution.

The vast majority of elected ZANU-PF representatives, like the opposition, are now in favour of removing Mugabe - but the process could be slow.

And like the resignation route, it would currently result in Mphoko becoming head of state.
FORCING HIM OUT

The military seized power late on Tuesday night but have been at pains to give the impression of obeying the law and have sought to play down suggestions that their intervention amounted to a coup.

"We wish to make it abundantly clear that this is not a military takeover... We are only targeting criminals around him (Mugabe)," said Major General Sibusiso Moyo as he read a statement justifying the army's actions on state TV in the early hours of Wednesday.

The African Union and the Southern African Development Community regional bloc have warned the army not to try to remove Mugabe by illegal means.

The generals appear to have heeded their warnings and have instead pushed for dialogue with Mugabe while putting pressure on him by supporting the mass protests against the embattled president.
And most importantly, 93 year old Mugabe is smarter than all of them(and you?) combined! He was backed by high intelligence when he sacked Mnangagwa. Question you should be asking yourselves is what took Mugabe so long to sack him, not what took the army so long. Army acted because Mugabe wanted to arrest Chiwenga. This coup was a defensive not progressive move.

I really don't get what you guys are excited about.

Mugabe is in absolute control of this situation and everyone who can apply their mind properly is fully aware of this.

I really find it stupid to read every hour

"Mugabe about to resign"

"Mugabe refuses to resign"

"Mugabe negotiating dignified exit"

"Mugabe given deadline to resign"

"Mugabe facing impeachment"

Just do it if you can! What are you waiting for? Showing respect to a legend and hero?

All that military force and show, "Mass protests" (how many people voted MDC in past elections by the way?), and bravado but you're powerless? Didn't think anything through!

Mugabe is a Zezuru, Mnangagwa is a Karanga - the biggest Shona group. How are the army chiefs split along those lines in terms of numbers? A whole Rwanda on the way?

Anyway, Trevor Ncube the West's media stooge says the army Generals below Chiwenga now mistrust him. They believe he sold out and want to take matters into their own hands i.e. force and violence.

Strangely Augustine Chihuri(police chief and G40 loyalist) was shown cosying up to Chiwenga. How when the army just assaulted your police officers??? :?

It's amazing to think how so many people minimised so many critical factors.

How could common sense be simultaneously betrayed by so many people???

Something bad is coming!

Playing a bit of chess, Mugabe is still President and Commader-In-Chief of the Armed Forces. For months he has been threatening to fire both Mnangagwa and Chiwenga. He fired Mnangagwa. Now he can legitimately dismiss everyone involved including Chiwenga!

Your move... :D
