Why has it taken this long to oust Mugabe? And what was the trigger?

You know when a lot of people in the room are thinking the same thing but too scared to say it because everyone’s worried about the reactions of the rest in the room?
Then at some point it’s said and everyone realises everyone agrees?

I think that just happened.

The army don't even need to overthrow Mugabe now. ZANU-PF will do it themselves. Mugabe has no support whatsoever from any group of Zimbabwean society, not even from fellow Zanoids.
So why did the army intervene if the numbers were hugely in favour of Mnangagwa?

As much as Zimbabwe has a constitution, Zimbabwe has a constitution too.

Why didn't ZANU simply recall Mugabe like ANC did to Mbeki if politically and plus with backing from the Joint Operations Cpmmand they had power?

Your reasoning makes zero sense. Absolutely zero sense!!!

Mugabe hasn't been ousted!!!

Army was already ruling together with Mugabe. He legitimised that rule. Everyone here knows that and has said so. Problem is, army generals must be replaced or retire at some point, while Mugabe and those aligned with him can continue to be elected several times. They form ties with new JOC leaders, and those old leaders, like Solomon Mujuru become weak backbenchers as their replacements assume power and influence. They had to act before a situation arose where a Kasukuwere, Grace or even Sekeramayi himself rose to Presidency.

The Mnangagwa cabal knew Mugabe had long received intelligence from Russia, SA and China about Mnangagwa's plans and fired him. That the firing took place recently doesn't mean Mnangagwa wasn't sidelined immediately or that there was no attempt on his life by others in the know, including some future leaders in the army or ZANU, not just Mugabe.

The reality is there is no unity among the JOC. They can't and won't be able to rule Zimbabwe without turning it into more junk than it is now. Everyone knows that. (except plenty here  )
And what was the trigger?
Opportunism, desperation and money. Lots of money.

Zimbabweans are fed up and quite frankly we dont care what SADC or AU think. Mugabe has destroyed the country along with his pals, and the people will no longer stand for this.

Remember, the people are bigger than any leader.
So what have you been waiting for? Visas to SA*, Botswana*, UK, US, Canada, Australia and Zambia*? Or the gonads of Gukurahundi murderer to grow big?

*Visas(?)
A lot of the SADC and AU leaders are basically scared because they know that they could be next.
Which ones?

And what of UN, US, UK, French, Italian, German etc leaders? They're endorsing this or scared or coups ti?o?

You can always tell an individual by the levels they stoop to, and you have stooped to a new low.

This does not even make sense. Looks like someone need to take their own advice from above...

No leader agrees with a coup because it enforces the idea in their own people that it is a means for leader removal. Congo, Kenya etc...would not want such successes to occur elsewhere.

There is as much chance of Hhm being a Campbell as there is of him hailing from Israel originally.
To be honest I am starting to think that Pariahs actually from India.

He speaks a lot like Crimson, and this forum is crawling with sub continentals that just like cricket in general.
