A very good early morning from Harare. We apologize for the loss of commentary yesterday evening but it seems the new regime has not solved the problem of power outages in the country.

ZCF closed the day on a healthy 2/176, but with the flight of hhm they are in reality three down. Skipper jemisi has joined CrimsonAvenger in the middle an hour before the close and saw out the rest of day in typical style, dropping balls into the gaps and running hard between the wickets.

The wickets to fall were those of bayhaus for an agressive 65 off 59 balls, lbw to tawac, seemingly giving proof to his theory that there is an umpiring conspiracy against him. Of course he was absolutely plump. Three overs later Zero76 cleaned up brmtaylor.com admin with a peach of a delivery. That was unplayable. Tough luck for the former skipper.

Both bowlers toiled hard for their wickets and they have their work cut out for day three with Stoneman Returns banned from bowling after bowling what looked like three intentional beamers at bayhaus in his first over. The Robot's bowling was enthusiatic and erratic as ever, and so the skipper had to bring himself on early to stem the flow of runs.

CrimsonAvenger meanwhile has progressed to a chanceless half century of his own. He plays like a man who has seen it all--and he clearly has. The ZCF A side's bowlers keep complaining that he wastes time between deliveries studying his photo collection of their actions.

There are still two hours before play resumes and maehara is busy in the nets with the two in batsmen. Eugene has been spotted playing the organ at Harare Cathedral and we hope the church service ends in time for him to make it to HSC in time. The ZCF XI's wk ZIMDOGGY seems to suffer from an acute bout of amnesia: He can't even remember the stunner of a catch he took yesterday morning which Neil Johnson on commentary called the feat of "a man on steroids". Maybe the effect is kicking in.

Could also be the effect of meeting match referee anusha gamage at the end of day 1?

You can imagine further by looking at the exclusive images shared by Cremer over at zcfcricketforums.com, straight from the ground:

End of day Comment:

It was good to spend sometime in the middle. walked in when the team was in a bit of a bother managed a good partnership and the 100 was the icing on the cake. It wasnt easy to score early on but the wicket got better. Little bit unfortunate to go out that way to a part timer bowler brmtaylor.com should have kicked on and scored big.

The Zimbabwe Cricket team have found Ebola in one of their members, but they're not concerned because they have also found Ebatsmen and Efielda!

The Jemisi and CrimsonAvenger juggernaut has carried on, with Jemisi being particularly aggressive, continuing to build on bayhaus and brmtaylor.com admin's fireworks. Clearly the best batting conditions too. But the odd ball is now taking prodigious turn. Ominous signs for the rest of the match.

CrimsonAvenger, meanwhile, has been stuck in nervous nineties for a while. On 99 now. Crowd getting impatient too. Guy Whittall's daughter is in attendance, and is seen to be egging CrimsonAvenger on. We join live action now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7uwMl2YRiQ

You guys are kidding. If you watched that live action, CrimsonAvenger did indeed get to 105 from 99 with that 6 and shared a Dairy Milk chocolate with Guy Whittall's daughter. He did indeed get out to the lethal delivery on 105. Over to Jemisi and eugene now to take the game beyond ZCF A's reach.

eugene departs for a duck edging to the second slip to Flakeman on bowling of Zero 76.

Zero 76 well comes ZIM DOGGY with a furious bouncer :)

Suddenly Harare Pitch looking like old Sabina Park of the 80s
ZCF A bowlers on fire seems arrival of Brandes have charged up them.
