I would put money on him returning for the World Cup Qualifiers, a big Streak favourite.

Like utseya his previous attainments will be wiped clean in a sense. Let's see how his new action goes in the domestic one dayers and if he's still potent. Then we can start to get excited. Cautiously welcome this news for now

The thing Zimbabwe badly needed. Jarvis Vitori duo already shown what they can do back in 2012-13.

Streak's coaching is brilliant in handling left arm pacers, he did with Vitori, he did with Mustafizur and Vitori under Streak's coaching really looks match winner, even in the tri series final in 2016 he blow away Sri Lankan top order with his 140+ inswing and outswing.

Vitori should play all the matches in Pro 50 resuming from february, he could really add an edge to thd fast bowling unit of Zimbabwe.

Good news, but it's too early to get that excited. Vitori at his best would be an automatic selection, but he needs to prove he can still be effective with his new action before national selection is on the table. Wish him all the best.

Great news. He got pretty much zero support from all quarters in ZC / Tuskers and team management through this painful journey. Great achievement to still go ahead and achieve this. Hope his primary weapons are still in tact. Can't wait to follow him on some Pro50 action.

Great news indeed , a bit of competition in the squad is healthy instead of the automatic picks that we are accustomed to , even though he got a tad wayward during his last days

"I think our match-winning bowler is Brian Vitori, and hopefully he returns back. Obviously his action has been questioned but he is very close to pass his test and that will help us a lot if he is ready for the qualifiers because he got good pace and variation in his repertoire and can be quite dangerous against any opposition. He can swing the ball and he will be the main threat. And if Williams and Cremer can play well, it won't be hard to put pressure on any opposition"

Taylor on Vitori.

Will be interested in how he comes back because with his new action he may not get the late swing that made him so potent.

If he can replicate the pace and swing then he’s a lock in all 3 forms for me, his big hitting could be just what we need in the ODI side batting at 8 or 9

Well that didn't take long. Burl in too.. Vitori and Jarvis upfront with Chatara as the first change and Blessing learning from the sidelines is not bad at all. Sad how this combination 4 years ago would have seen us with 3 bowlers bowling 135kph+... wasted generation. It's a shame he didn't get cleared before the boxing day test. He could have done some damage under the lights. Let's hope he hasn't lost his pace as well.

We have all the players we need now. It's just up to the selectors to pick the right team with everybody capable of doing their job.

Quality spinner
3 decent pace bowlers
Experienced batsmen
Wicket keeper batsman issue resolved
Young guns wanting a chance

Get Williams after he has recovered and Tari in there too and you have a good enough squad for the level we are going to see at the qualifiers. Enough of these so called "team players " and "pinch hitters on their day" let's put the best and most talented players we have out there and the results will eventually come

Yup it’s as good as it’s going to get. Let’s hope the boys hit some form and that Vittori hasn’t lost his X factor. Afghanistan is going to be a stern test.
