How quick was Mumba bowling in the SL tests ??

Also Ngarava was over 140 wasn't he ???
Ngarava isn't as quick as Mumba and Muzarabani. Mumba bowled mid 130s on average in his opening spell and later his pace dropped a bit. I remember he hit high 130s and low 140s too on occasion.
I thought Ngarava was the bowler who hit 140 something in the WC ?

Mumba touched 139 or just grazed 140 in the SL Tests. Decent pace and looks a big strong bloke.

Mate, you're reading too much of Kriterion. I remember myself correcting him on this 2 or 3 times :D .

The guy who bowled 140+ in the last U19 WC was Kundai Matigimu.

May be the admins must pin this at the top or something

Hahaha sorry my bad CA

What’s happened to that guy? Google mentioned him as a talented all rounder back in 2014 when he was like 15 but seems to have fallen off the face of the earth ?

Yeah, he is curetnly the last question asked on the Quiz thread: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=364&hilit=zcpq&start=3450#p113143

The answer post there has links to a couple of his recent exploits. ZC should be getting him back ASAP.

A friend of mine in tbe system told me about a year ago that Matigimu had a bit of a fall out with somebody in the system and he had decided to try his luck down south. I think he comes from a decent background so he might not necessarily take some of the nonsense that goes on behind the scenes but I doubt he will ever make it in S.A. even though he is probably bowling even quicker now. I just saw what Ngidi did and it showed me they have too much talent there

A lot of schoolboy talent is picked up now from Zim schools and they are given scholarships and a lot of them complain that when they get there other players don't like them because they feel like the schools are trying to fill up their quotas. Whether it be cricket or rugby. So it's a tough battle in S.A. he should come home. I have no doubt he would crack the team in 2 years tops.

Ngarava was bowling about 130ish In the U19 World Cup from memory. Saw a bit of of him bowling against the Dutch, looked a bit stronger and faster there but there was no speed gun available. Blessing can hit 140 on occasion but not consistently so, as could Mumba before he got injured. Will be interested too see what speeds he is getting when he does return.

I saw that Jarvis hit 136 somwwhere today, so he still has a bit of pace left when he bends his back. And having seen him bowl his cutters very effectively today I will take back my previous assessment that he hasn't developed his bowling at all. Used the conditions very well.
