I'm always astounded at how tall almost all of the boys are when watching ZIM on TV. I think they might be the tallest team in terms of average height (Bangladesh are surely the shortest, lol). I was quite surprised at the toss to see Cremer is exactly the same height as Mashrafee, who is 6'1". Cremer looks average height, but maybe he is on the ZIM team. From what I can see on the TV, here's my guesstimates of the players' heights (I have a very good eye for height, so lets see how accurate I am:
Blessing 6'8" (widely reported) - looks 6'10" but probably because he is so thin.
Mpofu 6'4" or 6'5"
Murray 6'4"
Chatara 6'2" or 6'3"
Ervine 6'3"
Taylor 6'2"
Jarvis 6'2"
Hamilton 6'1"
Cremer 6'1"
Raza 5'8" to 5'10"
I haven't noticed Mire or Williams but they are on the shorter side relative to the above guys. I know Taibu and Prosper were quite short. Tari Musakanda appears to be as well, but in a ZIM context that might mean he's Raza's height.
Anyone know if my guesses are correct?

Thats what I'm saying. Most of the ZIM guys look average height...but then you realize almost all of them are big blokes.

We could easily rectify that by bringing in the Kaia brothers.
But yeah, height can be deceptive, like when you look at a really small handball player and then realize he's 1,85 m, but all the other blokes are way above 1,90 (or even more extreme in basketball). My brother-in-law (who knows absolutely nothing about cricket and is about 6 feet himself) stayed in the same hotel as the Dutch national team a couple of years ago and sent me the incredulous message: "Do you have to be that tall to play cricket?"

Cremer doesn't look tall because his teamates are either his height or taller. Hami and Taylor and don't look tall because they are on the heavier side. I believe even Jongwe is 6'2" by my estimation, and he doesn't look tall because he isn't thin. May also have to do with bone structure. Always thought Mpofu was 6'5 or 6'6 but if Muzarabani is only 6'8, the Bobby is no taller than 6'4 because he's WAY shorter than Blessing.foreignfield wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2018 3:40 pmWe could easily rectify that by bringing in the Kaia brothers.
