I dont think ray price is that great to a quality batsman.

Hes great by zim standards but not by say.....australia standards
I think Sachin Tendulker would differ with you on downgrading Pricey.

Yeah i respect what you're saying there ZIMDOGGY i really do. It's obvious that he doesn't spin the ball say as much as Cremer or maybe even Utsea, but he's a very clever component as we've all come to know and love. And like you said Flower Power, a few batsmen around the world would disagree 8-)

Refer delhi test match where Tendulkar was completly flumfoxed by the legend. I have never seen the master so clueless in his entire career. (The test where both Andy n Ebrahim scored 90 plus)

I think what Price will benefit from is that not that many current internationals players have faced him all that regularly...similar sort of deal when Mendis first came onto the scene for sri lanka...i remember watching top class batsman looking like juniors whilst facing him. Price's passion and competitive nature adds another thread to his bow. Much like batsmen like hayden and gayle intimidate bowlers with the way they stand tall or walk down the pitch, a bowler that talks and has some stats to back it up could really benefit one of ipl teams - mind you they might not get the fairplay award :D

blignauticus
cremer
price
C- Bomb
ervinator
taylor (if he regains form)
Gus mackay (they take players out of retirement i.e warne, martyn)

and even chocolate coventry would all look good in the IPL.

But not looking out of place in the competition is very different to earning your place in the IPL.

I believe as it stands right now only Elton will be there in IPL colours next year.
