I think it's really bad that Hong Kong have ODI status when they can't produce home grown players. So many expats in that side
Most of this HK team were either born in HK or came up through their youth system. They get a lot of unfair flak for being expat-heavy IMO. They're also working hard at bringing the game to the mainstream population - they've got a dedicated programme and a representative team - but it's early days.

Incidentally on the Atkinson, Chapman and Irfan omissions, that's wan't get the time off work, not making himself available, and still suspended respectively.

Cricketzimbo/Zimfan1 posted on Twitter that Williams will return if he’s fit, I have two questions

What’s your source ?

Who’s spot does he take ?

Has to be Waller or Burl or Moor

Might be Tari also since he’s the last guy in

Apart from the ‘top 5’ in this tournament how many other sides get ODI status ?

Just 3 or have they extended now that Ireland & Afghanistan are full members ?

Ireland & Afghanistan have became permanent members as they both got test status and are now full members.

Netherlands have got their odi status back, as they have become champions of WCL 2015-17, the rest of the teams with temporary odi status are Scotland, Hong Kong, PNG & UAE
