The 4 or so “white” high schools are at least 60% not white, if not more. I wonder what percentage classifies it as white? I think perhaps 1%

Yah, now its a very different story. I was speaking of back in the day when there actually were white schools. I remember playing St Georges 2nds with whole team being whites. Then you had your St Johns, Peterhouse, Heritage, Falcon but that was a long time ago.

A real shame. I bumped into an old school mate of mine and he was from Falcon; he started filling up when we spoke about it.

My friend went back to his farm in Gweru last month, to see the state of it. He was absolutely shocked at how overgrown it had become. He also stated that, when he travlled to Harare with his Mrs, he was appauled at the feeling and the looks he got from passers by. He said being a white man in Zimbabwe is simply not safe, which isn't very reassuring.

In Iceland, they have a state service to check that you're not related before getting married...the kind of questions that people in Chivu or Macheke didn't ask themselves too often...

With regards safety, Zim is the a pleasantly place its always been. I live in Gweru we are surrounded by mines generally owned by the Chinese now. Farms are now for subsistence than anything else. The other day I saw and elderly white gentleman just taking a stroll in the people's market. Don't think that would happened if there was any treat.

It’s not usually a group activity, you just have to find one bit of stray.

No Zim is a safe place for whites. There’s some do’s and don’ts, much like any place. I hope the days of Zanu riling up the populace against the whites as a smokescreen for their real intentions is a thing of the past. I’ve been getting a great vibe. Look I wouldn’t walk into the ZC offices with a “you’re a bunch of c*#ts” T shirt on or anything like that, but the people are cool here.

If you look at homicides as a barometer of national safety. Zim is safer than the USA, just.
I don’t think Americans truly realise how unsafe their society is. Spent a month there last year and was very nerve racking just chilling around Brooklyn and LA.

Both average 5. Something per hundred thousand people murdered.

In context,
England is about 4.
Australia and New Zealand are about 2/3 thereabout.

South Africa is 25! What a swamp.

The one that took the cake I think was El Salvador. 100 per 100000 are murdered!!
