if i was the selector.

im also assuming ervine and the irishman come back.
So really this is my team a few months projected.

Notice this is vastly different to how the selectors roll now.

1 hamilton masakadzaka
2 brendan taylor
3 taitenda taibu
4 Sean williams
5 sean ervine
6 elton Chigumbura
7 andy blignaut
8 greg lamb
9 Graeme Cremer
10 ray price (c)
11 Anthony Ireland.

12 coventry/sibanda (although in reality i would pick the best fielder for 12th man)

This is a 4 pronged 'pace' attack

a 3 pronged spin attack

and batting depth down to number 8/9.

******replace ervine with coventry and ireland with rainsford for a current lineup*******

But of course....that would require the unthinkable from the selectors.

dropping the do-no-wrong prosper and the prince-sibanda.

Gus was never in the Tait/Akhtar/Lee/Thommo speed bracket.

But is WELL ahead of international average.

ive always said that at 42, Gus has a good 3/4 years left at international level. Striking fear into batsmen the world over.

But they wouldnt have the money to pay for him.

I reckon sloandog would give Mr Mckay a run for his money with both the bat and the ball ;)
