So Googly has 100% admin,
Jaybro a spread with nothing for the selectors.
I realised I made an omission.
Should have had a % for the Captain.
Realistic coaching targets
Re: Realistic coaching targets
I’ll get flogged again but I think Cremer did well as captain, people are quick to hammer him about the bowling changes against the Windies but with only 2 seamers he didn’t have the luxury that Holder had. In saying that he could have used Blessing for 2-3 overs during the middle overs and the decision to bowl Williams that last over didn’t turn out well.
But we must remember we defended low scores against Afghanistan, Scotland & Ireland. When you’re continuously defending low scores you’re bound to make a call that doesn’t work out and costs you the match.
I don’t blame Cremer at all as I said in my previous post when looking at the players it was our batsman that let us down sadly.
I agree with Googly though admin are most to blame for the poor condition they’ve got the game in.

But he probably has B & C.
To be fair him, do many of our contributions manage to have A,B & C?
Most of the heat in this discussion seems not to be connected to the points at hand but rather is born out of the humiliation everyone is burning with.
Apportioning blame correctly is really hard.

What % do you reckon for each, Jaybro? TapsC do you care to score too?
Short term(im talking about the last year)
The admin: 20%
The selectors: 30%
The coaches:40%
The captain: 5%
The players: 5% because they played to their averages.

I totally agree with CrimsonAvenger's assessment on this.
Re: Realistic coaching targets
I don’t think TapsC is a racist BUT you have knowingly or unknowingly painted a picture suggesting Streak has favoured guys like Waller, Burl & PJ over the likes of Cephas, Tari and Mutizwa and KJ over Chisoro.
As I said don’t think you’re a racist but you’ve definitely made the impression you believe The board that Streak has favoured the white players.
True or not doesn’t make you a racist.

Re: Realistic coaching targets
Jarvis never. He is a quality player. I fully understand why they dropped Chisoro. The bowling strategy was clear. It just didnt work out. Chisoro is unfortunate that we have Cremer and Williams who can perform his role without us having to pick him.jaybro wrote: ↑Fri Apr 06, 2018 8:18 amI don’t think TapsC is a racist BUT you have knowingly or unknowingly painted a picture suggesting Streak has favoured guys like Waller, Burl & PJ over the likes of Cephas, Tari and Mutizwa and KJ over Chisoro.

The whole Blessing being on a lower salary thing is also silly. He just got into the team. They control that too.
Do I believe PJ Burl and Waller have been favoured? Yes I do and I think its not a ridiculous claim if you look at it.
Is it crazy for me to say that they have been given more chances after failure than others? I mean look at this. Streak was already talking about Zhuwaos average. That was his sixth national game ever. Has he ever once mentioned how Burl PJ and Waller all average below 20?
Mpofu was favoured too. Thats why Panyangara left. He knew he would never have a chance as long as the same technical team was in charge. and I believe Mire as well. He hasnt crossed 50 in almost 20 innings I think. Gives away his wicket a lot. Yes he has scored a century but he has serious technical flaws.
In fact I would say Burl and PJ have a better technique than Mire. Dont forget the guy we are saying wont ever make it and is a club cricketer has scored 260 runs against Jarvis and chisoro in a first class game. These strange things happen..If you watched the series in the UAE you will know what im talking about.
This is why for me its not a racial issue. The fact that Burl PJ and Waller are white is not a factor to me and just a coincidence.
Mutizwa had an average of 40. Performing in domestic cricket but he doesnt even make the squad for the 3 tests we played towards the end of last year. I dont know how that cannot be an injustice in peoples eyes.
Re: Realistic coaching targets
Thanks. A bit gentle on the players and harsh on the selectors for mine.TapsC wrote: ↑Fri Apr 06, 2018 7:24 amFrom a long term perspective its 100% the admin.Jemisi wrote: ↑Fri Apr 06, 2018 4:27 amTo be fair to you jaybro he doesn't have A.

I think I'd be 30% players and 5% tops on the selectors.
If the top order had done even a little better we would have made it. Even with all of the admin fails and potential tactical issues. That has to count for something.
