Looks like Streak and co are getting their money all the way up to July. Got a funny feeling some of those loud noises are going to disappear once the ICC pays these guys off. Now on to the next chapter which for me is the next ZC election cycle. Thats where all our energy should be directed at.

How do you do that? They’ve changed the constitution to vote themselves in ad nauseum.
As Utseya said, they will protect their livelihoods with everything in their power. They’re not custodians of our game, it’s their privately run company. Of course they’d like cricket to be successful, but they don’t know how to do that, their hopeless inadequacies they will blame on a plethora of imagined reasons supposedly beyond their control, so if it limps along and they stay in situ that’s ok as well.

The next zc election cycle?

Come on TapsC you smarter than that. You know the constitutions are loaded for the boys to come in.
For goodness sake how does one send their application to the MD of ZC to get it approved before he/she sending it to the nomination court!!!!!!! Without it getting lost or documents added or taken away?
The whole process and people needs to be scrapped. And prison sentences put on the table.

Again. Talk but no action.

We will see the same cycle take place. These guys will vote themselves in and we will still be left with the crap that we have.

The Pakistan hotel issue is a prime example. Hotel fees not paid and then the board want to say that the issue is race. They all have inflated egos and inflated bank accounts, but refuse to dip in to them to do anything for the sport and the country. Time to coup non coup them.

The sad thing is, not many people care. I was talking to a prominent cricket journalist who said they were 'over' the whole Zimbabwe situation: players want their story to be heard but too scared to talk. Also failing to realise that, in global terms (from a cricketing perspective I guess), their story is relatively miniscule.

Nobody within ZC cares enough or is bothered enough to do anything. The players can protest, and good for them if they do, but I believe the only people who can actually change things for the better exist within the ICC, or a newly formed government.

The ICC have voiced their support for ZC, thus the issue of governance of cricket in Zimbabwe is closed.

Could also have something to do with those claiming they can bring the board down not doing anything. Could also have something to do with the players not standing by one another. Could also have something to do with journalists in the country not taking ZC to task (Looking directly at Melhuli when I say this one)

Most of the people wanting to take over from the current lot are clueless. The only skills they will learn on the job is how to steal. Corruption is go ingrained in Zimbabwean society that basically nothing happens without it.
