Exactly zimbos_05 that's how we progressively get worse. We lose all institutional memory, especially from winners. Olonga, a hero to a generation of young black Zimbos, has been lost to Aus (not even invovled in their cricket) instead of being in and around the sport - even as a tv commentator or a newspaper columnist. Even if not involved with ZC, I'd love to have the likes of Taibu, Streak, Flower, etc. set up school academies all over the country, and arranging trips to NZ and India. I really hate the idea of everyone scurrying away just because of a few board members, that's exactly what gives them oversized power.

Olonga has actually said that he was approached by clubs in Aus to get involved with them, but he has insisted on not being involved directly in cricket. He said that the threats he received after 03 scared him and put him off a lot of things cricket wise, so he chose the "comfort" of singing.

The ICC have behaved disgracefully throughout all of this. It's clear they have been looking for a reason to oust Zim. They didn't wait long at all to pull the trigger.

The ICC should have kicked ZC to the curb 10 years ago circa 2010. Despite a few false daws (2011, 2017) Zim cricket has been shockingly poor both in the boardroom and on the field.

As opposed to? SLC? BCB? The general consensus is BD should never have been a FM at the time.

Basically, ZIM rebooted in 2011. Any judgements can be made from 2021. In 2021, I just don't see BD winning a Test series in ZIM against:

Kamunhukamwe, Burl, Kaia, Musakanda(c), Kasuza, Murray(wk), Jongwe, Mashinge, Ngarava, Mumba, Muzarabani(he'll be back). Moor and Chari won't have declined much. And if a Mahmadullah is still around, so will Chakabva. ZIM won't give BD spinners any helpful pitches.

We can bet 10k USD now.

Troll level 1000. Obviously didn’t watch the World Cup Encore. Bangladesh are world class. Zimbabwe relies on their spinners as well eg their win against aus in zim was because they prepared a spinning wicket.

To be fair, the odds of BD winning a Test series in Zim are about as low as the odds of BD playing a Test series in Zim.

Moot point. The WC in England had neutral pitches. Zimbabwe have never prepared spinning pitches against BD. They beat BD(and PAK) with seamers. In fact BD's best bowler was a seamer - I forget his name.

ZC will ensure all Tests are in HSC. Fast green pitches. Mustafizur will be in his prime, but he alone won't be able to counter ZIM's attack. Brendan Taylor is a good ODI batsman. Average Dutch and Irish got in top of him, not because he's graditionally a poor traveller, but because of age. He's 33. Tamim, Mushy, Sakib and Mahmudullah will be between 33-35 years of age. Ngarava, Mumba, Muzarabani aided by Mashinge and Jongwe will quite simply be too much in helpful pitches.

NB: Troll? Ok. I was very careful not to even select a spinner in my XI (Wellington, Mavuta), because the odd overs from Kaia, Burl and Musakanda will be enough to chance one or two wickets.

 There's a Test Championship now. They'll fancy their chances at home, plus away to SL, AFG and ZIM. Every 0.10 point counts.

I think in two years time ZIM(and IRE & AFG) will be part of it.

Yes, because Bangladesh has no youth or grassroots structure. It's obvious that no other players will come after their current team.

Is it true that Bangladesh are funding ZC to make sure the tour next month goes ahead? If yes, then kudos to BCB.. Great to see them help ZC in these difficult times
