Tino Mowayo was missing from most of the matches and now set to hurt the mentality of a young player who played the whole tournament and brought Mountaineers to the final by taking his place in the playing xi in the grand occassion.

Even amidst all of the turmoil, Stars have had a better season than predicted.

Will be interesting to see how this goes.

First blood to the Stars as Kamunhukamwe has taken the sword and has been razing Tiripano's bowling in particular. 2 sixes already.

It has almost gone unnoticed that Kamunhukamwe has also led this team to the top of the table apart from being the top scorer, top boundary hitter, top six hitter, etc. He'll find a permanent place in the Mountaineers XI (his old home) come next season.

But Tiripano takes revenge. An excellent Pro 50 tournament for Kamunhukamwe nonetheless. 379 runs with 24 sixes. T20 selection beckons.

Great to see the Stars thrash a strong Mountaineers side! I think this just goes to show how successful this Rising Stars experiment has been.

Wow. What a success story. Taibu and Stewy and Their player coach deserve their credit

While that is true in general, the Mountaineers batting lineup that played in this Pro50 tournament is the lousiest since their inception (2009). Except Hammy, there was no batting at all right through the tournament. Shocking! That shows the value of Mutizwa and Maruma at the domestic level. Kasuza came to the party only once. Their bowling was still the best quality within the competition though, and the Stars did well against them every time they got an opportunity.

Taibu would be jumping with joy today. Vindication too. He has an eye to find the right talent, as this result shows. The new-gen Mangongo may be, in that aspect. Massive credit to him.

Mavuta did not let his fellow Rising Star Magarira's record stay for even a couple of weeks. 8 for in List A is plain sensational. He'll be itching for opportunities at higher levels now.

Finally, Matsi. He seems to be special in his current role. Not just coaching the Rising Stars, he has worked in individual capacity with Liam Roche as a coach. Roche has taken to List A like a duck to water. May be Matsi's own shortcomings as a player helps him understand and communicate better with others, which is win-win. Hoping for bigger things in future from him.
