Things have gotten a bit difficult for Zim already, SL winning against NZ could have been better as they are the best side in the group. Zim having to beat SL is a little more difficult than beating NZ.
But on the plus side, if all teams win a match each, due to the closeness of the SL Vs NZ match, their net RR would not be very big. We can force our way if we win decently enough.
You have a point but lankans are woefully out of form in batting. Think positively. Zimbabwe's giant killing act if continues then we might have Sangakara's head in our collection along with Clarke and Afridi. Imagine the headlines- Spirited Zimbabwe kicked SL out of competition

That would be some headline. Here's my theory. If we can beat the current champions and crush the mighty Australia, then there's no reason what so ever why we cant beat both Sri Lanka and New Zealand ! If our main players fire on the day, we'll come out on top. We need to now think positively and believe we can achieve such heights, because as we've seen in these two warm up matches, we have a much stronger and settled squad with is this year. Guys like Elton Chigumbura, Hamilton Mazakadza, Graeme Cremer and Brendan Taylor to a large extent have come of age in the past 6 months or so. Craig Ervine is another guy that looks to be have a solid technique, somebody that could play the role of Sean Williams did. We can beat anybody, that should be our mentality going into both these matches. Good luck boys
The most annoying thing here is that we are not playing till onday, would of been great to of been able to carry on the momentum after the two warm up wins.
Looks like our tatic will be to bat first and back our spin attack to restrict the opposition. This means that the batsman will be under a lot of pressure to fire particular Taibu and Masakazda as two of our more senior batsman.
Intresting to see if Mpofu plays as he has been outstanding on this tour so fare and from what Alan Butcher has said in interveiws he has really impressed him.
Can't wait for this game. The pressure is really on Sri Lanka to win which will hopefully be against them! They SHOULD be us, and they HAVE to win mwhahah

Sri Lanka's chances at the World Twenty20 have suffered a huge blow after offspinner Muttiah Muralitharan was ruled out of the tournament with a groin injury. He has been advised two to three weeks rest, and a replacement is yet to be named.
