There is one thing you guys are overlooking. The players. We get suspended BT Raza Jarvis Ervine Cremer Mire are gone. Gone for good. They have potential to play elsewhere. Who the hell is going to play? These players will not stick around. All they want right now is their money.

If they were paid today all the noise would go away. You tell them no more money is coming and they are gone. Most of them are not in this for the greater good. They are just doing their job. This individualistic approach is why the board is still there.

The process of litigation and court cases will take years because they are still the legitimate board as corrupt as they are. They have changed the ZC rules to entrench themselves. We cant run away from that. These guys will fight to the very end using all the tricks in the book. It wont be a walk in the park.

ICC didnt say we are getting rid of the board, they will still be there. So how exactly will that solve our problem when we have no money and no players? I will give you an example. Look at the USA which was suspended by the ICC in 2015 and expelled in 2017. Then they had their election process to fix things this year. Do we have 3 years to waste?and unlike the USA we have tasted the riches which is why people will not stick around.

You also have to wonder why so much noise now? Did this problem start in March? They are owed money from last year but they were quiet. Certain things dont go peoples way and then suddenly the house must be burnt down. None of you guys encouraged a strike when those thieves took the USD and gave them bank transfers because certain people were still in the system. These guys have been abusing people for a decade. The sudden change in energy leaves more questions than answers.

Would people be saying the board must go if we had qualified and the technical team hadnt been fired? Would Taibu be making all this noise if he was given his money for the academy?

The hard truth that people avoid is that everybody in this system has contributed to our demise.
Wow! Top post. Very true.

Tapc has been the best poster on this forum in the little time that I have observed.

That’s the truth- there’s not one person involved in cricket or who has been vaguely successful in any field in Zimbabwe who has not supped with the devil. And if this Board were ever close to be ousted they would open a can of worms for practically everybody involved because nobody is squeaky clean. If you have not compromised your values you probably don’t live here anymore. It doesn’t change the fact that it’s never too late to do the right thing.

Yes, let's nitpick on the guys trying to be on the right side and ignore the elephant in the room.
  • The SRC was supposed to conduct an inquiry on ZC. What happened to that? How many millennia are required to complete the inquiry?
  • What has the ministry of sports done following the CWQ debacle apart from instructing the SRC to look into the matter?
  • And I repeat this question - How is it OK for anyone at all that the entire support staff be fired but the board takes zero responsibility?
  • If BT has been payed upfront, why would he be in this for the money alone? Clearly, Wouldn't want to generalize but what BT is insisting on is a player's union more than anything else. He doesn't appear to be in it for the money alone and such generalizations are sad. If this is not a long term strategy for player welfare, what is?
  • What Taibu is also supporting and asking others to support is the formation of a union. He has categorically said that this is not about boycotting games. How is this wrong in any way? And Taibu has been vocal all through his recent involvement and it does not look like a reaction to his sacking at all.
  • Most people here and in general have always been critical of ZC and their approach. ZC might have done a few things to please the audience, but overall, they continue to be incompetent and corrupt on the face of it and have regularly received flak.
While it is OK to say "everybody in this system has contributed to our demise", does the difference in the scale not matter at all? Isn't this like saying both a T-Rex and an ant have contributed to the stomping of a lizard by stepping / walking on it?

Where is Mliswa
I think these players know the ICC money is coming on the 1st of July why make a deadline on the 25th June..
My Solution is SRC should get involved after the series & the Pakistan series...
Players should nominate they preferred Chairman & election should be held...

If we had qualified there were plans to get rid of the arseholes in ZC board so yes to your question. Of course taibu wouldn't be making as much noise because his academy is not paid for ....but his academy just beat the shit out of the franchises!! What does ZC do when something works...destroys it.
Have we all contributed..probably if by being polite and allowing for moths and years to be paid is enabling these thieves then yes.
SRC are engaged and ICC are talking suspension which is what we need now so we can be back up and running in a year ready for T20 world cup.

Actually, people have been calling for this board to be gone for decades. Use your 'investigative' skills and have a trawl through this forum. You'll find posts from as far back as 2004 asking for the board to be replaced, and if not, we will be where we are now.

You make like a national cricket board giving funding for a cricket academy is not natural. Oh the horror. Look at this cricket board. Supporting one of its own people to build and develop a cricketing academy that would benefit the sport for years to come. Why on earth would any board want to support the development of youth in its country to sustain the standard of cricket and produce a system that is able to churn out international standard cricketers for years to come. It's stupid. They should just take the money and buy a Range Rover.

And every time someone tries to fix it, someone in the board makes it racial, does nothing, steals more money, and the people who really care are ousted.
