Presidential assassination attempt.

Post by Googly »

Aside from the repercussions prior to the elections and going forward, I wonder if Pakistan or Australia are going to get cold feet or use this as an excuse to back out of the tour?

Pakistan shouldn't get cold feet. http://www.espncricinfo.com/pakistan/co ... 27934.html

Those matches are at this stage still going ahead, despite ongoing discussions between Cricket Australia and government officials after an explosion at a political rally in Bulawayo on Saturday and increased political tensions.

As you said Pakistan probably will come as they have been through worse. The situation is calm though as I believe these guys are trying as hard as possible to have a quiet election so that they can unlock more funds to loot. They also have the UK on their side so I think peace can be maintained.

I was at HSC over the weekend. The grounds are getting prepared for action. June 28 will be a big day for the future of our cricket as the ICC decision on the suspension might be made(well at least behind closed doors) then as well as the 2 big guns arriving. Very tense moments im sure for people in the organization who are not the star players.
