You called it some time ago, well picked.Googly wrote: ↑Fri Jul 13, 2018 2:02 pmWell done Ryan Murray! Decent first game.
Where to from here? We need to ring the changes with the batsmen- Kamunhukamwe and whoeve else can hold a bat, we’d may as well have a look, fuck all to lose.
I hate to say this but Hamilton’s time is close, he can’t keep playing shots like that up front. Those Pakistanis took a long time to get going against great bowling, why wouldn’t Hammy play in the V until he’s on 20 or thirty and try and get some time in the middle? Chibabha doesn’t belong at this level.
Bring Burl back and leave him there, there’s no one else, aside from the fact that he has the ability.
This game should be enough to get rid of these c^%ts a time the top. What an embarrassment.
You did say his batting needs work though, but today he was clearly our best. Well done to him.
Got any Ryan Murray trivia to share, Googly? Is he from a farming family or something?

No. His dad is a top accountant here. He could run ZC and Ryan could keep
Ryan is studying accounts at Stellenbosch and I think they’re on break. He hadn’t picked up a bat in weeks!
He’s got some poor habits with the bat, but a wonderful eye. I saw that 1000 yard stare when he walked out and I knew he’d dig in a bit.

I agree that this series is write-off so we might as well give everybody a shot. We might be surprised. I would try Ngarava and Kamunhukamwe in the next game

Damned good tennis player and hockey player as well.
He used to have a high BMI but he’s looking in good shape.

What's your gut feeling - will he stick around and play a bit of cricket or disappear off to SA?
Re: [Match Thread]: Pak tour of Zim Odi Series : 1st Match : ZIM vs PAK
I’m not being overly critical of him, he’s got promise, but he’s going to get caned the next game. They were thinking he might have a couple more tricks up his sleeve and he hasn’t yet.
Re: [Match Thread]: Pak tour of Zim Odi Series : 1st Match : ZIM vs PAK
He has to finish his degree. He will play his cricket around that if they let him.
At the end of his degree cricket will be dead and buried so there’s going to be nothing for him to come back to. Fact.

Hopefully they select him when he's available.
He's shown enough today to suggest he's got more resolve than Burl/Moor/Chari/etc.
