Any hope we had of convincing Mark Olonga to stay are long gone after this farce of a series. He should go and play IPL or county where his services will be valued.

On a more serious note, I played cricket against a guy on the weekend who was born in Bulowayo and is close mates with Ian Nicholson, mentioned he was moving back to Zimbabwe and will be looking to crack the side. Interesting little development

I don't know what standard of cricket he's been playing, if any at all, but that's what I was told.

Nicholson, at the very least, had pace

What’s happened to Trenoweth and Shardendorff? How are they doing this season?

Tyler was really burnt by the fact the RS tour was cancelled. He'd mentally and physically prepared himself for success and was seriously aiming for a spot in this squad for the tri series. The fact it didn't materialise hurt him and he's not pursuing other interest. A real real shame, because he not only had the talent but the application to go all the way. Talent lost!

Yep, we just have to go back to batting the 50 overs. Anything more than 240 is out of reach for this squad.

The bowlers are even more of a concern - the bowling attack is so toothless.
Its more like anything beyond 180 is out of reach of this side. This group didn't get 240 on 350 wickets so if they got a 240 wicket, they'd get 180 in a best case scenario. 3 times out of 5, they didn't get 180 on a 350 pitch. Harare is not as flat as Bulawayo.

The Big 5 was 90% of Zimbabwe's batting talent and 75% of their bowling talent.

Sloan- are you saying he’s given up? No club cricket or nothing? Where is he?

One more thing to consider mate is the quality of Pakistan's bowling. They are probably the best bowling attack in the world right now. Perhaps this team can still do better against lesser bowling attacks.

Mark Olonga is the future leader of this attack
WRONG! Daniel Jackiel is the future!

In all seriousness the Jackal he may not be far off a call-up given our lack of depth.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes
