Sean Ervine joins Derbyshire
Sean Ervine has joined Derbyshire on an initial 28 day loan, having played virtually nothing other than 2nd XI at Hampshire this year it would seem the best move by far if he has any hope of continuing his career

If it doesn't work out (eg. county career is over) I wonder if he'd think about representing Zim in the style of Mire. Live abroad, get parachuted in for the odd international series.
He'd be an automatic starter and could probably still play for another 3+ years.

Not a bad idea at all. Play series by series. Get paid upfront. I remember Mukuhlani saying Streak stopped them from chasing after Ervine. Dont know whether that was true or the usual spinbrmtaylor.com admin wrote: ↑Sun Aug 19, 2018 11:52 amIf it doesn't work out (eg. county career is over) I wonder if he'd think about representing Zim in the style of Mire. I doubt Sean could add much these days, probably wouldn't do much more than Elton.

Re: Sean Ervine joins Derbyshire
I'd say he would have something to offer still. Especially if Raza doesn't come back yet.

If were going to the WC then yes bring him in
But we're not and we need one eye on the future, bringing back Sean isn't the future.
I doubt he would come back anyways

Better to look for youth allrounders like Jongwe, Mashinge, Faraz Akram, Jeremy Ives, Shaun Snyder then Sean Ervine
