The news of a massive change in zim cricket with utseya stepping down and handing the captaincy to chigs really does show theres change going on at the moment. I feel this is a relly massive step showing we are on the move up especially with all the former players returning and lots of young talent coming through.Through Chis becoming captain it starts another new era and looks to be a decent one with players like craig ervine,kyle jarvis,graeme cremer,malcolm waller,brendan taylor,sean williams and elton chigumbura coming through. not to mention former players that look like there returning such as sean ervine,andy blignaut,dougie hondo,anthony ireland,doug marillier,dion ebrahim,terry duffin,greg lamb,t.taibu and coaching and leadership roles for heath streak alistair campbell and hopefully grant flower. It really does look promising for the future especially as the domestic scene has rapidly risen in popularity and class.in order for us to reach the top like we once were i believe we have to play the kids as well as senior players for leadership and father like figures, if this is to happen and us be able to play the top nations on a regular basis we will continue to improve and start to play test cricket and we can only improver from there.I believe players like matsikenyeri,sibanda,dabengwa, ect need to be forgotten about and move onto the young guns and continue to play them so that the other generations no that they are guranteed games and choose to stay with there homeland and not seek to play somewhere else.If things continue the way they are and we grow as a cricketing nation we will be feared all over the world and would be a fairytale to get back to where we once were. In the tri series coming up we will see a improvement in the boys already i can feel it, good luck to the boys and chigs on his new role i truely believe we can get back to where we once were.
