Really wonder how Elton is going to do. The Pakistan boycott plus Raza not being in SA has given him one more shot. Is he motivated enough to take it? I think he still has a role to play, especially in seam friendly conditions. PJ hasnt convinced me he can finish a game yet. Waller is gone. We need somebody who can compliment Raza down the order. I think Elton actually needs a bit of time to settle before exploding. Something he rarely gets. Lets see how he does. He did ok against Pakistan

Chigumbura is done. Looked completely out of touch in the recent series.

The thing about Waller is when the top order are doing their jobs and scoring runs he's the perfect guy to come in at No. 7 or 8 and turn a 250 score into a 280 or 300 score, but when the top order is failing and he's coming in at No.6 against Rashid Khan he's of no help to anyone.
It's a waste of a batters spot just for a chance to add quick runs at the end of an innings. Even when that rare situation presented itself in Waller's last match, he fails.

It's time to move on from Waller and Chigumbura.
Look at the numbers as bad as Waller was he would take an odd wicket or makes a superb catch while his bat has been dismal Zimbabwe always need 6 bowlers ( 4 specialist & 2 part time rs)

As many of us hoped and predicted Cremer could be ready in time for the BD tests, I’d at least have him sent over there and ‘weigh up’ how well he’s recovered and how well Mavuta is bowling over there.

Hopefully the selectors send him over as a late inclusion like they have done with Raza.
