Congratulations to Ross Mills who scored 212, hitting 19 sixes against St Georges in a 15A fixture this weekend. The team scored 454/7 in 50 overs. This must be some sort of school record.
Did anyone here see this?
Get him in the team!
Seriously, that St George's U15A team must be dire!
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).
Before people start saying this guy’s name as the next Andy Flower, let’s understand the quality he was up against first.
I have a double hundred myself but no way I could crack a Logan Cup side. At least I hope I can’t.
Still a good effort for a kid either way.

Didn't know you played cricket. Are you Zimbabwean?
If you've got a double ton, you could probably average at least 25 at Logan Cup level. You've got to be better than a Keith Dabengwa...
Googly has said the standard of school cricket has dropped and yes a score of that size (team total) in 50 overs would suggest the bowling team wasn’t that good.
But being a schools’ first XI match he’d be one of the better batsman for his age in the country.
High standard or not, at 15 to be scoring a double century is something. It may be a one off, but what is being done to address two things.
1) If this kid actually has talent, who is going to look after him and ensure he goes through the proper systems so he can develop as a national player and not defect
2) If the standard is as low as everyone wants to say, what is being done to rectify it
Kids at this age should already be starting to be looked at for domestic sides. No more recycling of the same of has beens. Time to blood the youth. Give them the facilities and the infrastructure. Nurture them and give the right coaching and the right administration.

Yeah I play cricket and even captained for two years and
Got the association award for most wickets only 3 years ago.
I usually just tee up Cephas style and put my 6’4 106 kilo frame to good work.
These aren’t great bowlers I’ve pumped though.i did take out a NSW under -9s leg stump with a swinger that swing from outside off though.
Again I’ll stress I am nothing special
