I would like to see this for tonight:

1. Mire
2. Masakadza
3. Moor
4. Taylor
5. Williams
6. Musakanda
7. Murray
8. Mavuta
9. Jarvis
10. Chatara
11. Mpofu

Chigumbura and Chibhabha need to fuck right off.

I wonder if this would be the most players with the same first letter of their surname ever in international.

In Zimbabwe more so than other countries selectors and coaches play their favourites, it’s no coincidence that Elton has come back since Utseya the dog became a selector.

Streak had his favourites as well which annoyed certain people. Whatmore was the only coach who didn’t seem to play favourites, he gave a lot of players opportunities. Mangongo also to his credit also seemed to pick guys on merit, even giving Moor his debut despite their falling out at the Rhinos.

Murray isn’t in the squad.

As for the first letter surname point I realised a while ago the initials ‘T.M.’ Are very common in Zimbabwe, you could name an entire side with those initials.

Tino Mawoyo
Tendai Maruma
Tari Musakanda
Tymcen Maruma
Tinotenda Mutombodzi
Tony Munyongo
Taffy Mupariwa
Tarisai Muzarabani
Tapiwa Mufudza
Thabo Mboyi
Tatenda Mupunga

That’s just from the current players list, there’s heaps more lol

Obviously disappointing to not get a game in the one-dayers, but invaluable lessons and experience was learnt 🇿🇼.

Looking forward to getting back out on the park tomorrow for @MatiesCricket. Big couple of months for us, as we build up to USSA.

disappointing for me that the team management choose to release the young fella yet we keep on giving countless chances to a perennial failure in the name of chigumbura, whose sell-by date is way past gone. this is so demoralizing.. why call in the young man when you know you're not giving him a game?
