Taylor is overrated in T20 cricket.

Genuine Q.
What’s Mavuta done?

I haven’t watched any Zim games in a while but I can’t recall any standout scorecards from him?
I know he hit a 20 the other day but surely cunts aren’t jizzing just for that?

Someone bring ems up to speed.

They are hardcore jizzing for him. Young black kid with a bit of mongrel who can turn the ball and swing a bat.

Hope he goes well.

To be honest I think the South Africans are more excited about Mavuta than we are. Bangladesh will show us whether he is the real deal or not. The Proteas are not the best players of spin. They are just used to seeing young speed merchants.

What nailed BT for me was that even in the 1 t20 where he got going he still had a strike rate of under 100. When he tried to accelrate he got out. Williams managed to make up for it before he was dismissed.

Mavuta showed promise and an eagerness to compete in South Africa, wasn’t timid like most Zimbabwe players.

As for actual performances his bowling got better as the series went on, but still needs consistency, his Googly his hard to pick.

With the bat I don’t think we’ll see him turn into a 6 or 7 but he was keen to have a swing and made some good contact.

Bangladesh tour will tell us a lot more

soubds like he hasnt done that much, which makes me wonder why a SA T20 league would take a young unproven player from zim?

I wonder, are they angling for a poach attempt? their quota systems demand young black talent, and we have talked previously whether SA would attempt a black raid on Zims young.

Too late for the national team now, they've have to wait 7 years once he decided to leave.

I think they were impressed with him and the fact he is African helped him

He's a bowler though, not a batsman. Can just bat a bit maybe he might be an all rounder one day.

Two T20 matches in which he averaged just over 5 runs an over. I think three wickets in all and an easy one dropped by Taylor. Outstanding returns.
