Streak had a career average of around 28 also, anything under 30 is international quality.
My take on batting and bowling averages:

Batting Averages:

50+ Legendary class (not every batter with 50 average is a legend but this is a nice even boundary)
45+ World Class
40+ Test Class
35+ Decent
Anything below 30 is too poor for a specialist batsman

Bowling Averages:

25- Legendary class
30- World Class
35- Test Class
Anything above 40 is too poor for a specialist bowler

What was Mithun doing there?
The selectors probably thought he was a "complete batsman" like Fazle Rabbi...both got ducks on debut. :D

Meanwhile Shadman has a 45+ first class average and Mosaddek has a 60+ average, neither are good enough to even make the 15 man squad.

We have multiple Charis in our team lol.

If they have averages that high they are not in the Chari class.

I'm talking about Fazle and Mithun.

We'll have some run out opportunities I think - they are taking some risky singles.

Why is a guy with a 35 first class average being picked in teh Test side. That too to bat at #4.

Hopefully this series ends a few careers for us at least in the Test format...
That's nothing...We have a guy averaging in early 20s opening for us :D

Man if that chance had been taken it would have been very difficult from there. Tough chance though.

Excellent captaincy from Hamilton though. There is a gully and a point and Mominul loves cutting in that region.
