Let us not get there, there could be 100 different reasons why some of them could not make it at the highest level. Premature international exposure being one of them. Labeling them as worst would be a serious insult. After all, people like Hondo, Matsi have won matches for the country.

Ya i agree. Guys like Piet Rinke, Tino Mawoyo and Blessing Mahawire were exposed to international cricket at a very young age and were unable to deal with the pressures of international cricket. It's a sad storey since all the players in the "Worst XI" possessed (Still possess) huge amounts of talent. A poor thread with no meaning.

Hey people..I am not here to demean or discourage any Zim players.Probably I shouldn't have used the term "worst", I apologise for that. I just wanted to make the thread interesting and see the feedbacks of fans. I always have been a true follower of Zim cricket and their is noway I am trying to offend anyone. I will make another interesting thread, sorry for my thread

Mate, you dont have to apologise for making a thread, i just questioned wether it was more of a stupid thread than an "interesting thread" :)

Is this an April fools day trend or what???? Coz a Player like Dougie Honda made the Zim team when is was at its PEAK. 2000-2003. I will concure with Crimson, they maybe other reasons why these players may not have perform constantly or for longer periods but players like Matsikinyere, Maruma, Mawoyo, Chibhabha still have a future in ZimCricket. i will bet my last dollar on that.

Matsikenyeri certainly does have a future in the team - the problem is he shouldn't. He has underperformed for years.

Exactly ! I can only recount a certain number of times that he's actually performed well for Zimbabwe in recent times. We should move on from this boy and look to the younger players. The Mutizwa's, Meth's, Ervine's etc

I remember we used to call for Keith Dabengwa to be dropped almost daily on this forum when he was inexplicably a fixture in the national side. Eventually he was dropped. Maybe we need to make Matsikenyeri the new ZimCricketForums target. We all know the selectors and coaches visit this site regularly.
