Edward Rainsford is a definite new ball threat, and when in form can be dangerous.

Tinasche Panyangara was an excellent young fast bowler, we can only pray that he gives Zimbabwean Cricket another chance.

Anthony Ireland was slightly too inconsistent when he played for Zimbabwe. One over he'd bowl a ball at 84mph, the next 5 would be 70 mph. His length was too unpredictable and his swing disappeared in 2007. However this was almost 3/4 years ago, and under the watchful eye of Bracewell at Gloucestershire he's blossomed quite dramatically. He bowled 87Mph the other evening ! Good sign if he comes back and plays for us.

Aleseni apparently a genuine 90Mph bowler, yet to be seen however.

Benade was no more than a medium pacer, and had limited cricket talent. No big loss.

Andy Blignaut We all know how fast he was, but can he sustain the pace he once had.

Sean Ervine could bowl sharp when lose, but generally bowls about 80-82mph. Would be great if he came back and helped the side in both the batting and bowling department. The batting especially.

Gary Balance is a lot like Benade, but a much more talented player with the bat.

Graeme Cremer has superb control for his age, and spin his googly just as much (If not more) as his leg-spinner.

Keegan Meth can swing the ball both ways at a reasonable pace. I saw him bowl 83 clicks in the Windies in 06. I reckon he deserves a spot.

Kyle Jarvis is our only genuine 90Mph bowler. We have to nurture him for our future plans.

Ray Price is a legend.

Prosper Utsea has impressed me recently with his spin, he's improved on his accuracy and his spinning capability.

Gavin Ewing is just a part time offpinner, but a more than capable batter.

Dougie Marrilliar is an extremely talented cricketer, with both bat and ball. If he came and played for us once again, the balance of our side would be much more stable.

I agree sloandog..Zim has bunch of talented bowlers in the side..what do u think Zim's bowling lineup should be?

To me Ireland, Rainsford and Jarvis should be in, followed by allrounders like Ervine and Blignaut. And the spin department should obviously be Price and Cremer.

Well I've been thinking. If Elton Chigumbura is now the captain, and we all know that he's expected to bowl, will Andy Blignaut make the cut. Assuming that Sean Ervine will make a comeback i don't think there's much room. This would be my bowling attack in an ODI match if Blignaut is fit to bowl.

Sean Ervine could chip in with a few overs here and there if needed.

I doubt on Bliggies bowling.He is a destructive batsman and can even bowl really fast but his line and length worries me..Ervine and Chigumbura are definitely tidy bowlers compared to Bliggie

Agreed

I doubt Blignaut will ever return to full-time bowling, but he chould be selected on the strength of his batting alone. A few overs of 'thunderbolts' from him would be an added bonus. I find it interesting that cricketers always seem to maintain their batting skills much more than their bowling skills when they have been away from the game for awhile.

Ya i agree. I suppose the main reason is to a lack of fittness and lack of overs bowled. I hope that's not the case with Bliggy
