A glowing article! By the way, even the guy writing that article must be ideally getting a few chances to show his worth on the playing field...
Re: Jackiel- Our own Malinga
If he is that good, then why he hasn't played franchise as yet.?

Sadly Zhawi has been canabalised by Rising stars after 4 years of service playing for free with no contract and being the leading List A bowler for the Eagles he has been forced to join the Mountaineers in a hope of getting game time. Similar fate has fallen to Gary Chirimuuta and Kuda Munyede.
As for Jakiel there is no better death or T20 bowler with his skill set a guy who can bowler yorkers at will and has the variety balls gives him an edge over the vast majority. Jakiels late rise is a case of the realty of the current 'system' in Zimbabwe where there is no recognition of players who have skills suited for certain formats. The reality is that coaches have taken safe choices in playing guys that they know have performed and as long as they keep pllaying them they will get better through the exposure and thus any under the radar players miss out. Guys like Diplock or Munyoro deserve a clear run to prove their talents.

Thanks for the updates. Unbelievable that he played for free for so many years! There's a guy who just shows the loves for the game come what may! Good to know he hasn't given up completely. Hope the mountaineers can give him the games he deserves.gargamel wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 1:31 amCrimsonAvenger wrote: ↑Sun Dec 30, 2018 4:41 amA glowing article!
