Chibhabha is a decent bowler, and is quicker than some of our front line bowlers - he bowled well in the test against South Africa on a lively pitch. ;)

Chigumbura has now matched Taibu's wickets tally for the season.

Mountaineers thinking well this time and declaring on 9 down to deny a point to Eagles. 2 points each earned by Mountaineers and Rhinos so far, and nothing yet for Eagles, and one for Tuskers. Unfortunate that none of Maruma, Moor or Masvaure went on to get that 150+ score and a point for their team. Moor missing out by just 11 runs.

Will the weather hold up for outright wins for the Rhinos and Mountaineers?

By the way, first FC 5 wicket haul for one of our own - yes, Shane Musekwa, a ZCF member: search.php?author_id=583&sr=posts

Congrats Shane! If you are reading, here's wishing many more!

This is sensational! Shingi Masakadza who was not even a regular in the XI this season, comes into this match to replace Chatara and gets a hat-trick that includes Chibhabha and Chigumbura! :o :o :o

The guy's still got it!

A good match for the domestic stalwarts Shing and Maruma.

Right, so Tuskers have just avoided the follow on. It will have to be extraordinary turn of events for them to lose this match from here. Eagles do not look like winning their match too, they must be happy if they can draw this.

Come tomorrow, Mountaineers could win the Logan Cup with a match to spare at this rate...

That's not a bad idea to get him into the XI, but he is actually one of the better players of spin in the country. So middle order would be better, but that is crowded. I still think Raza opening with Hamilton is not a bad idea and Prince can slot in at 6.

Let us see when we play a test next. Who knows who is around and who is not by then...

I think this is Maruma's 99th First Class game. An average of 30 and he is only 30. 25 half centuries and 7 centuries now. Not bad at all. Just looks like he struggles to convert his starts into big innings. Real domestic veteran. 205 wickets with an average below 25 too.

Makes me wonder how have Williams and Ervine missed so many games? They have played about 60 odd first games. Strange. 26 year old Chari has played the same number of First Class games as these 2.

Craig was a bit late on the scene and has sat out for various reasons.

Williams has sat out for more reasons than I have posts.

Frustrating to see that the domestic 4 Day Comp is coming to an end just when it appears that the quality is getting better. The more you play the better you get, it's not rocket science.
