India love flexing their muscle and mixing sport with politics.

Just play cricket leave the rest for someone else to deal with
Terrorist attacks are politics.? what kind of thinking it is.? Nearly 44 soldiers have been killed cowardlessly. If USA can quit event like Olympics in Soviet, if whole world can ban South Africa from sports in Apartheid era, why can't India pull off from World Cup for such an barbaric act ?

India should be expelled for being troublemakers and Zimbabwe installed in their place.

Maybe we can hold a memorial and have a light show and all will be forgiven...

On a non sarcastic note, I’m ashamed to say I haven’t heard of this attack? And I’m usually pretty Cluey on the news worldwide.

But form what I’ve read in this thread, remember that India don’t tend to be as diplomatic as the west. If people are truly angry they won’t hesitate making a big ‘racist’ response

Yes dipshit it’s a political matter

If India want to pull out of the World Cup that’s their choice, but trying to get Pakistan kicked out because of something that has nothing to do with cricket isn’t right and is a political power play.

Based on what I've been hearing, a large segment (possibly a majority) believe the Indian gov is too soft. They point to the more robust responses to such things by the US in Afghanistan/Iraq, Russia in Chechnya, China in Xianjiang, and Israel. However, the crucial difference is that the US/China/Russia are superpowers who's opponents are weak non-state actors. Pakistan is a country of 200 million people and they have nuclear weapons. On the other hand Israel has 6-10x the per capita GDP of India, plus they have superior weapons than the Indians largely given free by the US and EU, and they have a virtual permanent seat at the UNSC, which India does not have.

Its a very complicated situation, given that India has overwhelming military superiority over PAK, but the nuclear factor essentially negates that. Then you have China who might also seek to take advantage, as they already control 1/6th of Kashmir - a fact most outsiders don't know. To top all that off, its an election year in India and the ruling BJP party has just recently looked vulnerable due to not living up to expectations on the economic front. The only thing more important than the wallet is providing a robust retaliation against Pakistan.

The two most inextricable conflicts are those in Kashmir and the West Bank/Gaza and the only way to resolve those is if some 3rd party is able to maintain enough neutrality to convince the parties involved that a comprehensive final deal will require quid pro quo concessions by both sides.

Basically both countries are talking about military options, India threatening to cut off Pakistani areas from critical water supplies and as an absolute last resort they may think about trying to boot Pakistan out of cricket.
We think we have problems here, but you multiply them tenfold and you approach their levels, yet through all of that they continue to play. Instead of the expression “fiddling whilst Rome burns” it should be “playing cricket whilst.....”
Any excuse under the sun and we down our cricket bats.

Terrorist attacks aren't a political matter

India has raised concerned to other teams for not playing against a nation which is a factory of terrorism, there is still no reports on BCCI asking ICC to kick Pakistan out, with media and newsmakers taking it differantly.

The latest updates seem to highlight that a war is already started with Indian airforce striking in Pakistani soil and vice versa.

If they both continue in this path they might not play each other in the World Cup or one might withdraw from the Tournament.

Also they both have nuclear capabilities.

They could wipe each other out with Nukes
