Right well lets look at the players who are likely to be dead cert's.

. Faf
. De Kock
. Tahir
. Steyn { These guys are seriously the only 7 I can see as penciled in at this stage.
. Rabada
. Ngidi
. Miller

Other batters:
. Van Der Dusson { he's made a ridiculously strong case. What a start to his career.
. Amla { will probably make the squad out of loyalty but i honestly think his career is over. He's not the batter he was, not right now at least
. Duminy { has he done enough? Again, I don't think he should be in; 'passed it' springs to mind.
. Markram { can't believe this kid is even being sidelined for this series, let alone being questioned on his WC selection. Pure class, opener.
. Hendricks { has something special when he gets going; has probably one of the best back punches in the game. Should be given a spot.
. Behardean { looks to be in good form but seems to be out of favour.

All rounders:
. Andile { likely to be picked. He deserves to be in, to be honest, although for a long time i thought he was a quota selection.
. Muelder { I reckon he could be the future number 7 in test and ODI cricket, but it's whether he's ready yet. Could be a gamble.
. Morris { at 31, and without a central contract, I think his time has come and gone without ever taking his chances. A real shame.
. Pretorious { outside chance I reckon, although he's not really stuck up his hand to be counted.

Bowlers:
. Shamsi {not impressed with the bloke, to be honest. Tahir's clearly going to the WC. I doubt they'd waste another spot on a specialist tweak
. Nortje {no chance, but looks one for the future.
. B Hendricks {Wish he was going to the WC, but he won't. I really like what this guy can offer.

Headaches for the selectors, for sure.

Thread way off Topic but this is my RSA 15 Man WC Squad

Amla
QDK
Markram
Faf
Miller
Duminy
Muelder
Steyn
Rabada
Ngidi
Tahir

Van Der Dusson
Andile
Morris
Hendricks

I doubt they'd take 2 extra batsman though, so I guess VDD, Markram & Hendricks are fighting for the last spot, Duminy is their only batsman who can bowl so he's very important

Markram absolutely setting it alight again. Damn what a talent! If they don’t pick him after his last three innings I predict there will be a cataclysmic upheaval in SA cricket.
There’s only so much bullshit those selector muppets can dish out. They’re already hedging their bets- getting Miller to keep so they don’t need a reserve keeper to possibly open up a slot for Markram.

Andile Phehlukwayo must surely be in any Proteas ODI squad. He averages 33 with the bat and 28 with the ball and seems to a big game player from what I have seen. In English conditions he will surely do well with the ball also.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

VD Dussen and Markram batting for their spots right now. I think Markram May have done enough. Something about this guy, future superstar. VD Dussen looking good as well.
