Nice to see some new faces. Still some deadwood being selected. Not sure why we need such a big squad. I know we have the liberty to do so, but don't see the need for that many. A squad of 15-18 at max would have been perfect.

It's the training squad. Rajput had said recently that he would want to take a look at a larger player base in the build up to this series. Eventually it should come down to 15.

By the way, the biggest casualty here is Wellington Masakadza. His form has been patchy in the domestic season and he has paid the price. He has let his own domestic teammate Mshangwe and Tusker Ndlovu overtake him in the pecking order.

Daniel Jakiel along with Mashinge, Jongwe & Faraz Akram should have been there, looking into the importance of allrounders in the shorter formats.

I'm really happy to see Ndlovu and Kunje in there; two promising cricketers.

Sad Murray isn't in the mixer but he probably has exams which he's finishing up with.

Jakiel is injured. Murray is at uni. Agree with the others though.

What ever happened to Roche? They threw him to the wolves and now just discarded him.

Roche left for New Zealand, but has every intention of returning to play for Zimbabwe after University.
I doubt he's going to return though

I’m still not understanding why cremer isn’t available.
I understand his wife is in the Arab world floating about in a plane, but with the amount of cricket zim play, there’s no reason why he couldn’t do both.

I flip between Eatsern Europe and Oz and I work 50 hrs a week

I noticed he bowled well in the T20 competition. The Mountaineers' rotation policy may have effected him in the other two competitions. :)
