Four wickets for Williams now, not too bad at all! :W: O'Dowd out as well, the big man!

I think it's quite clear now that if Zim had somehow made it to the World Cup they would make Afghanistan look like world beaters, what a shower of second rate rubbish they are, it's so fitting that Chatara managed 2 wides in 3 balls to finish the game

Nothing short of disgraceful & pathetic from Zimbabwe im afraid they seem fast asleep. The team should be suspended along with the board.

This is really disheartening. Zim desperately need a reliable opening combo amongst a couple of other things.
We have to stop going on tours without warm up games as well, what chance do the lads have just playing an international after a long lay-off and then no warm ups?
It’s amateur hour and bloody unfair on our players.

Yes, it looks like the end of the road for Hami.

The Netherlands haven't played since February themselves. We are hardly entering this series at a disadvantage.

Had ZIM won the 2nd match, yes the lack of warmups could have been an excuse. But ZIM also lost the second game after being acclimatised from the first.

The problem is ZIM have just one player in the XI who approaches world class in Taylor. Raza, WIlliams, Ervine, Jarvis, and Chatara can all put in world class performances in a given game, but a) they are just as likely to go MIA at a momen'ts notice and b) enough of them don't fire at the same time to win games against top 10 sides.

Williams should have been bowled out. Terrible captaincy.

Netherlands didn't just win, they won with ease in both games. That is the more concerning thing. Our guys made batting look so hard and difficult, yet their team looked like a seasons test outfit.

Hopefully some heads will roll and upward change is coming.

Jarvis, with all the experience of the European conditions, was terrible in both matches by the looks of it. A lot more was expected of him.

Wow 2-0 loss to an under strength Dutch side,
Is this rock bottom??

I said it in another thread the playing depth is paper thin right now, Zimbabwe only has about 7 guys good enough to compete in ODI cricket, and when Jarvis is bowling like this you can only count 6.

Zimbabwe really missing Cremer big time and I’m not sure why Chisoro has been banished? Seam bowling is also thin, Jarvis & Chatara are a good opening combo when the new ball assists them a bit, but when it’s flat they don’t have the skill set and variations to be effective, same deal for Tiripano.

Batting wise Mire hasn’t passed 50 since his 100 v Sri Lanka two years ago, Hamilton only has one fifty since the qualifiers. The middle order is solid Ervine playing the accumulator role well since his return whilst BT seems to be in the peak years of his batting, Williams and Raza still good middle order players and part time spinners.

The national team is a reflection of the current state of the game in the country as a whole, until they can fix the domestic and club scene things will only get worse.
