Who knows, maybe there'll then be a Nollywood sequel to the "Last Rhodesian".brmtaylor.com admin wrote: ↑Sat Jul 13, 2019 4:04 pmPresumably our future showdowns against Nigeria A, Malawi and the Zanzibar Board XI won't be telecast so even if Taylor and co stick around we won't be able to watch it

By the way, if India decides to pick proper young and energetic batsmen like Gill and Shaw and if the failures like Vijay Shankar rise to the occasion and if they win the 2023 world cup, will that be called "Shaw-Shankar Redemption"?

I think the prospect of the T20 World Cup in Australia will keep most around.
We have a T20 tri series involving Bangoadesh and Afghanistan coming up un September held in Bangladesh.

Fielding first. Given how ordinary we've been I think we'd need to restrict them to a sub 130 score.

Why even bother taking subs if you are just going to play the same 11 the whole time? Why take a specialist spinner if he will see no game time? Why take a wicketkeeper who does not play as a wicketkeeper?

That was some horrific fielding by Richie.

Yeah I don't understand the 8-3 combination in a T20. If we need 8 batsmen in 20 overs we're even worse than we think.

While we wait for the stream to come back, here's arguably the greatest ODI knock ever by a Zimbabwean. Andy Flower's 145 against India, Champions Trophy 2002: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDwszRQdWzU
Somebody might have shared it here before, but never get tired of watching that knock. Lousy commentators when he gets out though - Shastri and Ramez, doesn't get due credit for one of the best knocks ever played in ODIs in a losing cause.

Another duck for HM.
If the new board want to switch captains it's pretty hard to argue based on performance.
