Direct from ZCs media department. I think it's safe to say from that list that racial quotas weren't being applied..!

8 whites
6 blacks
1 asian
(disregarding those who could be mixed race people).

It appears the batsman are white and the bowling stocks are black.

I actually dont foresee too many white bowlers from here on in. Fast bowling is athletic and the crossover from basketball, running and sovccer is less-traditional sports in the black community.

This is a good thing as it means that theres still some appeal of living in zimbabwe as the kids- who usually piss of to ENG,SA,NZ,AUS for their futures are now staying put in Zimbabwe.

It means its liveable as a nation and people are getting picked on talent i assume.

Malcolm Lake is in the U19 squad aged 15. Must be well considered.

You said man. In most cases you will see youngstars making the age group national teams all the way from U11 to U19. Then after all that these investments disappear to not as the kids usually go off Overseas and try qualifying to these other countries. Its disheartening to say the list. Lets hope that the current genaration will hang around and really up the stocks here in Zimbabwe. The more quality we have the better we can become on the international stage.

I agree. I think the side that played in the 2006 Under 19's World Cup was one of the strongest we've put out, but how many stayed and played domestically.....not many.
