I know it was burnt down, but what's happening with it?
Is the Cricket pitch still in use?
The last annual intake published was in 2005, what has happened since then?
Now things have improved are they going to have a new intake for the 2010/11?
With all the good news and improvements the last 12 months there has been little about the Academy.
Any news would be appreciated.

Still going, although they call it the High Performance Centre now. The HP XI played SA U19 on Friday as the tour opener, at Academy; they also played a T20 against India while they were touring (only lost by 3 runs). Keven Curran is the High Performance coach at the moment. So it all seems to be working at the moment.
As for the buildings, not sure - rebuilding work *was* underway at one point, but haven't heard whether they ever finished it or not.

Do they still have an annual intake? Or is it just a glorified training centre for those in Harare?

Are there scorecards for these matches?

The Academy pavilion is as is since it burnt down and only the nets and ground being used. The Academy pavilion building burnt down about 3years ago and nothing has been done and they are thinking of a stadium in Vic Falls.

Nope. Some details on HPC XI v India on ZCN (Look under Series Results - on mobile at the moment can can't dig up a link). Partial update on the match v SA U19 on ZC's website, under Media Centre.

I thought Mark Vermeulen promised to rebuild the academy himself?

He promised to pay for it, which is slightly different. ZC have since issued a statement saying they consider his debt to them paid, so if the pavilion still hasn't been rebuilt... ?

I see in the match against RSAU19's that Ronald Benade played. He was part of the U19 team that got through to the semis of the JWC '06. He obviously is back in Zimbabwe and part of the set up. His bio is here:-

Otherwise the teams for the 2 match's look more like an 'A' Team than an Academy team.
Interesting also to see Ncube and Charumbira in the team and Mujaji as 12th man. The search and development of faster bowlers is obviously concerted.

Roland Benade was an average cricketer, but a quality Rugby player.
