He was the first ZC Chair to submit to ICC pressure to install their man. He brokered a deal with the Government to clear debt he did not cause. He also secured qualifiers ahead of other competition because of how he roped in the country's President, Vice President, Sports Minister and other officials to convince ICC Chair Manohar and his team. Mukuhlani did this - made mere qualifiers appear like a FIFA WC bid.
The sweet beautiful irony

We’re going to see ZC’s true colours very soon with SRC’s insistence that the previous interim board makes up an audit and risk assessment committee
The problem is it will create conflict yet again. They will need to unearth the theft scams after we get reinstated in Oct. Methinks ZC would rather burn the house down than be exposed.

The cries of “The Rhodesians are coming” are about to reach a hysterical crescendo.
Those “Rhodesians” that Gerald found may well be the last whites with even an iota of interest in this never ending saga of theft and corruption.
It appears that ZC have really signed this agreement so now their focus will have to be on being as uncooperative as possible and make it unworkable and claim further interference. Do that carefully through your slimy ICC connections, boys, because ICC are enough of our shit.

I foresee another drama about to unfold, and this one will be our last. If Makoni really is going to have to step down I wonder what his new post will be? If he voluntarily leaves cricket they need to follow that trail because he shouldn’t be able to go anywhere or do anything after being only in cricket for so long.
This is far from over.

Googly I've gone through your posts, and I acknowledge what you're trying to say. You're entitled to whatever point of view you want to make of the whole thing.

The only thing that counts is SRC did not get what they wanted and the Interim Board will cease to exist officially and legally once the Court Order is made.

What that means is you - and indeed any other fan who placed their trust in them - were betrayed by Kirsty Coventry, SRC and ZC Interim board (including Dave Ellman-Brown and Vinne Hogg)!

To me it doesn't matter what happens afterwards. SRC would not risk making a deal with ZC which affects any chances of ZC failing to get the suspension lifted by ICC. Secondly, ZC would not have gone to court simply to achieve a compromise or a deal which gives them anything less than the AGM outcome.

You were betrayed! Start acting like an aggrieved victim and stop behaving like someone who was somehow vindicated by the series of utterly embarassing blunders by the "clean ZC" protagonists!

There is no redeeming value in trying to sanitise actions which in every sense of the word, have turned out to be mindless, yet had huge negative consequences to numerous lives - all for nothing!

What is it that you think I want out of this?
Tell me that and I will enlighten you thereafter so you can take the guesswork out of it.

If we don’t lose our membership it has not been all for nothing. It comes at a big price not playing those T20’s but if they can really make that audit committee stick we will free up a lot of extra money. Forget all that audited report shit from the past. Us on the ground here know what these guys have been up to for many years. They’re thieves and they’re racist and they live in the past and we want a new dispensation. End of.

I wonder how you keep escaping the asylum or have your lithium pills run out?

We all know he is a puppet as was chingoka and the question remains how did ZC flounder into debt in the first place since the VH days?

You look at this episode in cricket as a victory?????? A victory for thieves no less. Which is why you must be mad to follow an illogical path, let alone boast that a broke underperforming Board that has pilfered tirelessly has supposedly won a battle.!!!

I suppose your internal justification reading your elongated factually incorrect post is THE LAW IS THE LAW
Interesting concept when THE LAW in the past has made slaves of black people .
Less than 100years ago women couldn't own property and half a century ago single women couldn't buy the Pill!
And the biggest sacrilege THE LAW enforced was less than 40 years ago women couldn't buy booze in a pub.

So if you base your victory on THE LAW you will be the closest to correct you've ever been . If you base it on facts and common sense with logic about actual events then you may look in the mirror without seeing an ass looking back.

I see that ZC are already resisting the very agreement that they signed. It’s dawned on them that it will be almost impossible to steal anything. A fresh round of anti-Rhodesian slogans are imminent. It’s going to become clear to all that if they can’t help themselves then they’d rather it didn’t function, which I knew all along. I know the psyche of all of this. They’re going to gamble it all on digging in again and hoping SRC back off. I think the ZC will agree to anything but the white watchdogs, that cuts to the core of these prejudiced guys who’ve operated with impunity for many years. They’d rather cricket stop than be faced with that.

Cricket in Zimbabwe is doomed as long as the country is a failed state. Until responsible, competent, and ethical governance returns to the country the game is screwed. It is this reality which has finally worn me down to the point of having little interest anymore. What are we really following at this point? The steady decline of a once proud cricketing nation into oblivion, perfectly mirroring the country itself.
