Nick Welch got a good hundred against Lancs the other day, against a damned good attack as well. I watched a couple of his highlights on NVplay. Flayed Hurt, who’s damned quick.
I faced Liam Hurt this weekend (scored a cheeky 36* 8-) ) and he was sharp. Had attitude as well which was good, because that got me going too. He must have forgot we played with each other during the Lancashire age groups
One thing that is categorically going to set him back is the fact that he sprays the ball, a lot, and bowls too short. I personally cut and pull very well so he was pretty nice to face, and that's just me. Solid, seasoned county pro's will really tuck in

But he is only 18 or 19
Unbelievable skills.
Was going to say give the kid a break
I watched him a couple of times this season and for his age he's got it.

And Jacks. Amazing player but really full of himself.
Although he’s not a red ball player he’s had more than his fair share of opportunities in the 4 day stuff. He got sent down and I watched him on 4 off about 60, couldn’t buy a run and uncertain of himself for the first time. That the make or break of these young guys, when they lose form and how they cope.

Yea I have a mate in the surrey set up and he said Jacks is cocky. Is that right?

Watch for George Hankins. Another serious youngster.

Very arrogant guy. He’s had the red carpet treatment as a kid and not had to grind for anything because he’s such a good player. These old pros find you out.

Joe Clarke is up there as well. I know him through a friend and he's a good lad, humble and hard working. Just needs to try and distance himself from the whole rape saga and focus on the future, he's very talented

There's more general chat about the county players in general, opposed to LCCC.
