To remind us that selectors may have had a bet on this game.

Good question! Seems like a token selection.

Can he actually bat?

He has the same role that Chigumbura used to. The non-bowling, non-run scoring allrounder.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

Has he touched the ball yet? It’s a serious question. He must be related to someone. Why pick anyone and not back them. Give him the ball and a bat and let’s see. If he’s shit they must move on. He may be the most capped player in history who hasn’t touched the ball yet.

It's like when we used to pick Elton to bat at 8 and not bowl.

Have shied away from saying anythin gabout this guy until I actually saw him bat.

He's a cross between Stuart Matsikenyeri and Dion Ebrahim. Full of flair, strong on the on the onside, dashing batting with solid defence. Very classy and composed.

No wonder Matsi likes him.

Good find Zimbabwe, good find!

He looks like a cross between Chigumbura and Matsikenyeri, very good at rotating the strike looks like a good number 3 batsman nice find.

Lets watch him against something other than club bowling before everyone starts waxing lyrical. It’s all about which level you stick at. He did well, not a world beater, but nice to see a newbie come in and look unfazed.
