In fact, i'm going to go one further here and say he's the next big thing for our batting. How easy is he rotating the strike here?!

Yes, something that's so often lacking in our ODI batting when nothing but manouvering the ball around is needed.

He's definitely got the goods bo doubt. I still rate Kasuza and Musakanda higher at the moment though. Will need a lot of work with his footwork to be as rounded as those guys.

Maybe as an opener in T20s there can be a compromise, but other than that he's a proper ODI and Test fit.

ZIM are ok, but in all honesty, they are struggle to grab the game by the scruff of its neck here and really bully Singapore bowlers to win within 15 overs. Guys like Elton, Coventry, Zhuwao would've really hurt this team given 30 balls against them. That's why you need T20 styled-batsmen considering the bowlers ZIM have that will fetch 180-200 runs on average.
Voice of reason.

He looks a bit of short of muscle, though, for a T20 hitter.

I like his wrist work, but someone needs to take him to the nets and work on his straight bat game too. Everything seems to be cross batted.

I'd also be showing him clips of Amla as he could model his game off him.

Pretty amateurish fielding. How did we lose to this mob.
And knowing us, even though we've got wickets in hand 10 an over today is no cakewalk from here.

That was in reply to Encore- Easy there old chap. He’s done ok, he likes to back away a bit, useful innings, he’s given us a chance for sure.
Sloan- ya strike rotation was good. He’s not bad. Need to see more of him.

Usually the smaller guys don’t clear as much, he’s going leg side and playing it well through off, but then the onside stuff is a bit of a heave.
Runs on the board though, a good first innings for Zim and you guarantee yourself a lot more. Pretty well played all in all.

I didn't see a lot of 'shovelling' to the leg side at all. He played some gorgeous straight drives back down the ground back past the seamers too. You can tell if somebody can bat within a matter of deliveries...this guy can bat
