So it's not just a player drain

I'm watching the WBBL and I notice Jeremiah Matibiri is one of the umpires. I did a bit more research and it seems he is part of the Tas umpire panel and by virtue, CA as well.

Does the drain from our sport know no bounds, and can the board not see this.

You, of all people, definitely know the answer to this one.

To everyone else reading. They just simply don’t care. Their focus is the annual ICC grant. Their second focus is doing just enough to get the heat off them.

The Mukhalani led strategy is ‘you can’t waste money if you don’t use the money’.
What this means is no cricket and no real effort to retain talent that isn’t in the public eye. No anything really.
Pay the national players well to sit around and they will largely be silent.

They’re looking at starting our domestic season on the 7th of December, weather permitting. It won’t permit
Then we’re into Silly Season where no one wants to play and everyone wants to spend time at home.
I don’t think much cricket will be played this season, it’s half over anyway with none being played. If the players watch some cricket highlights on you tube (Dstv doesn’t screen any cricket anymore) maybe our game will progress and we’ll be ready for this ODI league.

Yeah, it's pretty sad. According to ICC he was on the Zimbabwe umpire panel in April 2019.

I notice now there's still no names listed for Zimbabwe's umpire panel, which were removed immediately following the suspension and should've been reinstated by now.

Maybe they've all gone?

Today I watched a Zimbabwean bowl to another Zimbabwean in a test match where neither of them represented Zimbabwe.

How long before another test nation is represented by Zimbabwe born or Zim heritage players, and the umpires are the same, with Pommie at the commentary mic
