Logan Cup 2019/20 R3 Tuskers v Eagles & Rhinos v ACHPP

Post by jaybro »

Round 3 of Logan Cup kicking off, Eagles v Tuskers whilst Rangers v ACHPP. National honours up for grabs in both games, Brian Chari will need some runs to fight off Prince & Moor who will be looking for runs in the other match. Tendai Chisoro will look to further push his case to be the No.1 spinner whilst Carl Mumba & Neville Madziva are also looking for a bag of wickets to break into the side.

Honestly these national team players on central contracts need to pull their finger out. They complain about not getting enough fixtures but they’re happy to sit out Logan Cup matches.

Sikandar Raza is back playing at least, which is good news. (Or at least listed in Cricinfo's Tuskers XI).

Where is Rugare Magarira these days? He looked like a brighter prospect than Mavuta for me, from his batch...

It's a joke. Also raises the standard for the others. Unless they are in camp...

Prince not out at lunch doing a good job again, reports though he’s taken a blow to the head which has sent the game to an early lunch.

Hope he’s ok.

Raza at the crease for the Tuskers, Chari out cheaply again, Cephas Zhuwao has moved to the Rhinos, smart move for everyone involved.

Looks like a very good partnership between the Indo-Pak pair of Jha and Raza. So many of our guys throw away the triple figure scores in domestic matches. Frustrating.

On the plus side, at least it proves that Raza is in good form. One less thing to worry about for the test squad.

Why is he batting so low?

He’s in our top 4 batsman in the country and he should be coming in way higher in a struggling weak Logan cup side with the names above him.

I could have predicted it. It’s terrible form.
