Well deserved win for the boy. Glad they held their nerve and actually crossed the line here.

Wow.. great effort by Nyangani. Top top stuff. Great victory! We should have beaten NZ as well. Is there a final? What does the final table look like? I know we still have 2 warm up games against England and India again. I'm backing these guys to at least get out the group. They have the players. Just 1 or 2 changes and they are good.

https://www.sundaymail.co.zw/meet-binduras-chinaman interesting that he doesn't come from any top sporting school. Really from the middle of nowhere. A random find who like Myers is only 17. I wonder if they qualify to play in the 2022 u19 world cup.

Good work Zimbabwe! Dion Myers and that aggressive opener look really good prospects going by their scores in recent games.

Great result they really dominated this game, shame they stuffed up the kiwi match they should have came second, but the bigger prize is around the corner.

Don’t worry about the infamous 8-3 lineup Utseya implemented the 9-2 !!!! Might as well considering Shumba, Madhevere & Myers are probably 3 of their best bowlers.

Quietly confident these guys can upset either Bangladesh or Pakistan and go through

Myers & Madhevere are stars !!! Myers reminds me of Hamilton for sure big solid lad and the way he plays through cover looks like hami

The extended batting line up was what made the difference. Added almost 50 extra runs. I guess it can work at that level because most of the best players bat and bowl.

Akbar Ali, the BD captain has his sights on the Final (any other captain with that much talent at his disposal would have talked of winning the whole thing, but BD are proven chokers at all levels, sadly). In my opinion, BD has a top 4 team for sure with only India, Australia, and some other random side perhaps being better. Its difficult to judge U-19 cricket, since almost all of it is played without TV cameras or highlights. The main thing, with this Bangladesh side is that there are 3 potential star batsman (Towhid Hridhoy and Mahmudul Hasan Joy in the top order, Akbar as the captain and WK-bat), and the entire seam attack are future prospects where usually a Bangladesh team has a one prospective fast bowler and the others just make up the numbers. This is probably the first Bangladesh team - at any level - that has a diverse, skilled, and multipronged seam attack.

I don't know much about the Pakistan team, but PAK usually do well in U-19 tournaments.
