50s are the Zimbabwean hundred.
They feel they have done their bit once they get it.
Sean Williams is the king of it.
I recall Stephen Fleming saying in an interview that when he was young and No were struggling they/he had a mindset that a 50 was exceptional and it’s something he had to override in his later career.
Good example of what I mean.
And watch an Aussie test match. They don’t raise their bat at 50, only at hundred. The half century is virtually meaningless. Our guys are jumping in the air for joy when they score one.
